Also very classy of Gene to ask the umpire to check the bat of soon to be player of the year Trever Adams.

Ah, the BJ's win a game against WSU for the first time in 6 tries, and something like 3rd time out of the last 15 and here they start coming out.

Best season in Creighton history and they're gonna have to win the Valley tourney to get in the field. Johnny Coy definitely wishes he would have chose those high caliber birds instead.

Creighton is the class of the league of pretenders.

They promptly cut the lead for the worst Shocker team in history to 9 with an inside-the-park homerun.
Random MVCFans.com member, circa 2007: "Gregg Marshall is in over his head in this conference."

And the silence settles back in again predictably.

12-3 romp to win the series for WSU. WSU outscored the BJ's 20-3 in their 2 wins.

Sounds like a true contender to me.

Thanks for the boost in confidence.

Jays aren't that good. How are they ahead in the conference?

Sad.

I suspect because of who CU has played to this point - they played a little easier schedule. CU has EU and SWMO left while WSU has the two bottom feeders left BU and ISUB. CU is almost a 0.500 team again the non-bottom feeders.

I expect that CU will lose at least one of their remaining games. The question is can WSU sweep the two bottom feeders to tie CU and thus win the MVC? Nothing is a given with this WSU program.

Sad.
It is sad that MVC is a pretender conference in baseball.

But help should be on the way with Dallas Baptist coming to the league next year. They are 8-5 versus top 50 competition. They are hurt with no conference affiliation and had to play 21x200+ RPI games. Only problem is they may step on some toes when they come in shove the pretenders aside.

it is shocking that CU even took a game from the most storied program in college baseball history. the jays should feel very proud.

You have that right, the way the Shox have owned the BJ's for all of these years it is a big deal when they upset them and win one.

How sad, the worst two seasons ever for Shocker baseball and the BJ's can still can only come up with one win out of six in the last two regular season series.

Enjoy your rented stadium.

i'm just happy that the jays even get to share the diamond with a team and all-time storied program like the krusty led shockers. that they have a better conference record to this point than the shockers is a monumental feat.
