As someone who has little if any care about college baseball, I will add my poorly informed $. 02. My neighbor's 16 year old son and his friends attended most of the games. He told me about the screaming Mimi's from MSU. If I were an MSU fan, I'd be embarrassed.

Also, I've read quite a bit about tournament hosting. However the M VC currently selects the host city seems grossly unfair. As an outsider to the game, it seems much more fair if the tourney was held at a neutral site, rotated every year so that all teams hosted, or hosting was earned by the team that won the regular season. This bid to host is ridiculous.

Two straight years of no NCAA post season has people pretty riled up.

I suppose Gene built the expectations and has to live up to them. I can see why fans are pissed but firing him seems extreme.
