Fantastic!! I really, really enjoyed my last trip there for the Tournament. I look forward to that Ozark hospitality in 2012.

It was just announced that the MVC will institute a new "tourney fee" at all participating schools by way of a 1/2 cent sales tax -- to be levied against each school's home concession sales during the regular season. This measure was ratified by all member schools (except for WSU) in hopes of lightening the projected financial burden caused by the new tournament host rotation.

This news release is 100% ersatz and should be treated as such!

Is this for real? So now a $4 hot dog will cost $4.02? How are they going to be able to quickly make change with all the customers in line?

I think most would agree that having a rotation for the tournament is good for the MVC even if it costs a few bucks on the revenue side. Obviously, one school disagrees with that idea.

Had to laugh seeing a UNI fan on the baseball board.

So what's the big deal with this? To be clear, WSU doesn't have a right to host the event any more than anyone else. If you read into Elgin's words, Omaha will be getting a lot more MVC tourneys in future years as well, so get used to traveling and having to earn your NCAA tourney bids away from Eck the way the rest of the conference has for the last 20 years.

Wait, are you suggesting WSU's tournament titles weren't earned?

Dont blame us for having a supporting fanbase that strong that pretty much kept this conference singlehandedly above water in this sport.

WSU won titles not because they were at home, but because they were the vastly superior team.

Creighton has the best soccer facilites. Creighton has the best soccer history in the MVC. When the bids go out for hosting the MVC tourney we rarely get it even though we offer the highest bid.

Did the Shockers win 14 consecutive regular season titles because they got to play all their conference games at home?
