Taken from the Wichita Eagle......
Wichita State's Chris O'Brien was named one of three finalists for the Johnny Bench Award, given to the nation's top college catcher. Jake Lowery of James Madison and Florida's Mike Zunino are the other finalists. Final voting will take place during the College World Series, with the winner announced June 30.

O'Brien, WSU's first Bench finalist, hit .410 with 10 home runs and 70 RBIs this season, earning Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year honors. Lowery hit .359 with 24 homers and 91 RBIs for JMU, which was eliminated from the NCAA Tournament on Sunday.

Good job Chris, and in conference games even better stats, led the league in average, .477 average, tied for 2nd in runs, led the league in hits, second in RBI, led the league in doubles tied for 2nd in home runs.

Great season.

To bad his little brother signed with Louisville.
