Sycamores did lose to Auburn as noted, then beat Connecticut and then Ohio State twice, all in Florida. 3-1 start for the unknown Sycamores, who lost everyone and their coach

What's with all the Valley teams winning their games?

A combined 23-5. I know a lot of the competition sucked, but still. That's kinda fun.

Sycamores win 2 this weekend, vs. Lipscomb yesterday and over Belmont today.

ISU plays at Middle Tennessee State tomorrow to try for the weekend sweep in Tennessee

When you say the sycamores lost everyone and their coach you don't really mean everyone do you?

Pardon my ignorance, I truly have no clue.

I am no expert on ISU baseball, but from what I read on our message board about the team, yes, they actually lost nearly everyone on the team from last year, I don't know what % of the team was lost or went on to the MLB or graduated, but it sure seems like a significant amount was lost.

Anyway, they're FAR exceeding expectations this year. They're coached now by Mitch Hannahs, who played when I was at ISU. He was on the College Baseball world series team ISU had in 1986 I think

It appears ISUb returns 17 players from last year's team, which is a fairly low number.

3 of the 4 starters being used by ISUb are new to the team, as is the closer Keaffaber, who has not allowed a hit in 19 at bats thus far. Their other top relievers are returnees.

Of their lineup, 9 of the 10 players they start regularly (appears they platoon their catchers) are returning players, which is a ton.

They do not play or pitch very many players, so that's pretty much the meat of their roster.
