I spoke at length with an avid IU fan during the ISU game Tuesday night. He's not happy with the style of offense being played (small ball), given the arsenal of IU's multiple weapons. Hard to disagree w/ him, when a .340 hitter is forced to lay down a sac bunt early in the game.

In the UE game (as v. ISU), the Hoosiers seemed reoccupied with their upcoming series w/ the Illini in Champaign, where they'll be facing one of America's top pitchers in KEVIN DUCHENE. Good win for UE & MVC!
14 innings - 1 run performance by UE pitching in BLOOMINGTON was BIG TIME...and IU didn't give it to 'em w/o a fight.

in DRAMATIC fashion the Sycamores beat IU in 10 innings 6-5. With two outs in the top of the 9th ISU tied the game with a 2 run home run, then scored 1 in the 10th and swept IU for the season. Same as Evansville!

Good to see the Sycamores duplicate the Aces 1-run win in Bloomington. Landon Curry's 2-run shot in the 9th w/ 2 outs broke IU's back. Only the 2nd HR in his ISU 4-yr. career...Landon must've said his prayers, as he's about 30 pts below his career batting avg after a miserable start this season. He's "blue collar" and doesn't give up!

Estevez w/ his 3rd straight game-winning RBI - Mr. ISU Clutch during this "revival."

Good to see Kaden Moore come out of his shadow...picked off 3 runners last night! Sure does take pressure off the pitcher.

What was it w/ Stagg only throwing 2/3 of an inning? Still have control issues? Nice to see Eberle & Conway mow 'em down. Not happy w/ Lunsford, though. Just doesn't seem to be mentally "in the ballpark" anymore. Last year he looked twice as active on the mound.

Looks like McClain & Owen are platooning the DH role now...and it's working.

Bradley will be a big test this weekend. Far improved from last season, #17 RPI...and talk of a possible at-large NCAA bid over @:
