AJ Green is a good player and all but the NBA isn't dying for dudes like him.

What? Elite shooters? That seems to be the only thing the NBA cares about these days. Green certainly fits that bill.

That's not a bad problem to have and we'll cross that bridge if and when we get to it.

AJ is a great shooter, but I don't think he's so elite that he's going to be sniffing NBA $$$ as a junior and tempted to leave early. Just my opinion. Really excited about the young talent we have in the MVC this year. The next few years will be fun.

I agree wholeheartedly. I think the Valley's best days are ahead of it especially compared to now in the post Wichita era.

In more good news for UNI South Carolina (who UNI beat) just took down Kentucky and also holds a win over Virginia. That could turn out to be a very important win.

I'd like to take a moment to make sure we all appreciate what Valpo has shown us this season. I remember some of the discussions last year about just how dead this program was after everything that went down.

Thankfully JFL stuck around and the Crusaders have one senior. The momentum is trending up and they'll help make some noise for this conference. They might only be .500 right now but I think most of us assumed they'd be floundering all season

MVC results tonight:

UNI 88 (15-2)
Valpo 78 (9-9)

E'ville 42 (9-9)
ISUb 65 (10-6)

Bradley 91 (13-5)
MSU 78 (8-10)

Not looking forward to the rematch in Terre Haute. Things never seem to go well for the Panthers there. Saturday in Peoria will be exciting.

Tomorrow nights match-ups:

ISUr (6-10)
Drake (12-5)

SIU (8-9)
Loyola (11-6)

Thank you for this. It means a lot. Javon saved everything. When he chose not to transfer and returned to school hope was restored. Without him we would be winless in conference and our record would be significantly worse than it is. I have no doubt of that. Losing close is frustrating so is being up and down and inconsistent. Also constantly getting off to slow starts during halves is a killer but the potential really is there. We are so close. I can feel it. We have the ingredients to be dangerous next year if everyone stays. We need to get it done on the court to give our players incentive to stay but I hope we can sell our players and fans on that future vision. We're getting there and we will get there. We will show one day soon that we were a good addition.

We play them on Saturday. I'm not looking forward to that one. It's not going to be easy. It never is against them.
