"The school already has sold 2,035 all-session tickets for the March 1 to 4 tournament at the Scottrade Center. According to the league office, Creighton has sold 861 more than Wichita State, which has sold 1,164. Creighton’s total exceeds the total sold by the eight other Valley schools by almost 400."

Again the two teams that have the farthest to travel will have the most fans there. Missouri St. sales are sad, and don't give me that "we have alumni in St. Lou who buy at the last minute" song, where are all the fans from Springfield?

Impressive numbers from CU and WSU. As the overall attendance dwindles and it becomes more and more apparent that these two schools keep the tournament afloat I wish they'd consider moving to KC.

Creighton has sold more tickets than the other 8 schools not named WSU combined! Our backs are getting pretty heavy doing all of the lifting...

Sad...I remember the early 2000's when SIU had a great crowd along with WSU, Creighton, and MSU. Other fans, if you haven't had the chance to go, I highly encourage you to give the MVC tourney a try. Great time and always fun seeing and talking smack to the other fan bases.

I've gone every single year for the last 20 years and never actually purchased All-Session passes...While these numbers do give you a heads up of what to expect it is not an exact science...Futhermore, outside of a few of the schools the other numbers look to be estimates.

Probably more like minimum requirements....

Also, even though WSU and CU will buy up an overwhelming majority of the tickets available, they'll preobably get the crappiest seats again...

Every day I see more and more why Creighton and WSU have a great deal of interest in finding another conference.

I too have never purchased All Session tickets. Spend $10-$15 and sit where I want.

The Bears were represented fine last year and their pre-tourney sales didn't look any better. We just buy tickets for our games and leave when we are done.

Fanbase-miles traveled based on those ticket numbers:

Creighton 885,225
Wichita State 514,488
Northern Iowa 173,000
Illinois State 58,800
Missouri State 54,250
Drake 40,020
Bradley 33,600
Indiana State 33,600
Evansville 15,048
Southern Illinois 14,550

Calculation is number of pre-sale tickets sold times number of miles by car from the school's city (Cedar Falls, Omaha, Peoria, etc) to St. Louis and is one-way only.

To CU and WSU fans: Holy Alec Baldwin, that's a lot of miles!

We don't NEED to buy all-session tickets because our fans don't all have to make a vacation out of the thing. It's such an easy drive, almost all fans just go up for the Semis and Finals if the Bears are playing and don't 'waste' their money if we aren't playing.
