Is he even the MVP of the Redbirds? The big 3 just take turns having big games.

Paris is MVP of our team I would say. But your right it seems like every game someone different out of our big 3 has the best game.

If you're a Valley fan... it's ISU we should be cheering for to run the table... not Wichita.

Neither team has any quality wins, if ISU beats Wichita twice, Wichitas RPI would get worse and not count as a quality win.

More likely that WSU runs the table and gets in off name recognition and a gaudy record than ISU.

Either scenario is super slim for a second bid. Splitting and 17-1 each plus both making it to Sunday is probably the best scenario for the MVC. And probably the most likely to happen.

Sorry to break it to you, but 100 rpi teams aren't quality wins regardless. The Shockers don't equate to a quality win for ISUr this year at all.

Yet. WSUs RPI will get better since it's already taken part of the bottom half hit.

17-1 with a loss @ISU puts WSU at ~35 RPI

I would assume that's very dependent on how your past opponent's AND your past opponent's opponents perform as well. A lot of "ifs" especially with how crappy some of your big name opposition has played this year.

But, for everyone's sake, I hope you are right.

Right now, if you go to rpiforecast.com, it lists WSU at an expected RPI of 45.7 and IlSU at an expected RPI of 57.8.

I decided to run the scenario where they both go 17-1 in their Wizard:
Both WSU and IlSU go 17-1:
WSU 35
IlSU 26

WSU losing twice to IlSU: 46
IlSU losing twice to WSU: 34

So, based on the RPIforecast estimated records, WSU would be a top 50 team, but not IlSU. If they beat everyone else but each other, they should both be top 50 teams.

LanceShock, your analysis echoes my thoughts. Should ISU run the table, their RPI is better than Wichita's should they do the same.

Thus, it's better for the Valley if ISU is the one running the table.

But I can understand the expected backlash from Shocker fans not wanting that to happen. It's human.

Yep, this is a problem
