Clearly the best coach in the league keeps it within 30.

Hey, the average this year is only 21.5. That's about 10 points in margin better than it would be if they didn't have the best coach in the league.

Your ability to assess is very much lacking. That, or you haven't watched UNI play much and are just guessing off past experiences.

At full strength, we are much better than them. Besides, I'm not even talking about what happens at UNI...this convo was about Arch Madness.

If I had to rank teams I would want ISUr to play at Arch Madness (first) it would go like this:

1. Bradley
2. Drake
3. Evansville
4. Indy St.
5. SIU
6. UNI
7. Missouri St.
8. Loyola
9. Wichita State

And, honestly, at full strength, nobody scares me until WSU in the finals.

Only because the potential ceiling is much higher for MSU and Loyola. They both have the players to compete and cause us troubles if our offense struggles (both have a more high powered offense than UNI by far).

Move Loyola to 6, UNI 7, and MSU to 8. MSU is not a great match up for us.

I think my order is pretty damn accurate!

I love Haslametrics team breakdowns. He currently has WSU 8th in the country and in a 6 seed slot and ranked 10th in "momentum" which is a measure of recent performances.

Also interesting. ISU is ranked 8th from the bottom of DI in Momentum, which is kind of is what a lot of people are seeing. ISU struggling lately.

Switching Shamet to PG and Frankamp to SG made a HUGE difference. WSU is a much better team with Shamet at PG. Frankamp is a much better player when he's relied on to score instead of set up the offense.

Fankamp was a 4-star top-50 player out of HS. He's starting to look like he deserved that rating. He's also become a defensive stud, which surprised a lot of WSU fans and Frankamp supporters.

I'll say they fall just short and beat Illinois State by 16 on Sunday...

Illinois State doesn't have the depth to play the style of defense they play for a 30-game season. They are looking worn down and it looks like they're more concerned with resting than executing on the offensive end. I don't know if they can stay within 20 of the Shox.
