As many of you know, it is our intention to have at least one moderator per fan base to help monitor the board. DUBulldog and Little Eddie were our first mods and I am happy to announce that RoyalShock and unipanther99 will join them as full moderators for this site.

We are pleased at the response we have had from fans on the formation of this messsage board and we are always open to your comments and suggestions on how we can improve the site.

Thanks-
Admin

A couple of suggestions I would make would be to have a set of guidelines or rules outlining the basic policies of the board. Also perhaps some better communication between admins/moderators and the authors of deleted posts. Maybe a simple PM on the reason why a post was deleted since, as of now, no clear rules have been presented into text form. That's really my one pet peeve on internet message boards. Deleted posts that seem to align with the rules and aren't given reasons why they were deleted. That's probably why a thread entitled "Official Mecca Refuge Thread" was the longest and most responded thread on VT.

Good luck to RS and uni.

I think bakker may have a few more pet peeves, but this is a legitamate pet peeve. Where are the rules? I see that this board has the capabilities of stickies, so why no sticky with clearly defined rules?

We already have had so called "reputable" posters taking pot shots at other posters, all the while, posts that seem very tame and in fact, on topic, disappear. Poof! What is the justification? What are the rules? Seriously. We are on a message board discussing sports, most notably men's basketball. Basketball has rules, clearly defined rules. Why not this board?

Lastly, why we all berate Valley Talk, it was great at one time. There were clearly defined rules. Those rules were prominently posted as well and the mods did their best to enforce them. It wasn't until the moderators all quit that Valley Talk became on old west, lawless, shoot 'em up town. Clearly defined rules could make this place great, or the lack of them will surely sink it.

Just an FYI: The mods are developing some "rules" at this time. Thanks for your input.

Why did you appoint all of these radicals as moderators?

Careful now, I've got the mouse hovering over the ban button!

I like where this site is going so far. Hopefully we can keep it fun and informative.

I was hoping the ( ) would clearly show I was joking. Apparently not.
