For the last 8 weeks we have asked you to predict the end of season finish for the MVC 2011-12 basketball season. We are down to our projected top 2 teams - Creighton and Wichita State.

Likewise, I voted for the Jays for the same reason.

Honestly, over 18 games I believe Creighton's offensive consistency will be just a little bit superior to what I think is WSU's better defense. This CU team should just shoot better than the Shocks.

Both teams should have goals beyond St. Louis. Let's all stay healthy, win some non-conference games and have an entertaining season!

I picked the Jays then knocked on wood so that should take care of that jinxing thing. It should be a very competitive race all the way through. I think offensively the Jays will be fine, but their D will have to improve since last year, especially on the perimeter.

I can definitely a fast start to the year with all the work Doug and Echenique put in with the national teams and the whole team's trip to the Bahamas, but I worry about not finishing strong.

All in all it should be a solid year for both clubs. I wouldn't mind a 2nd place finish as that gives me more time to get to St. Louis on Friday!!

Tough decision, but I pick the Shockers to win. I could have gone either way.

I chose Creighton. I do think both clubs have a good chance to get ranked if they take care of business early on. Both teams have pretty good non-conference schedules that will allow them to pick up some good wins. Should that happen I think the Valley will be strong enough (rpi wise) over all this year to garner 2 teams in the big dance.

WSU has too many question marks going into the year. They could finish as low as 5th if things don't pan out quite right or as high as 1st.

CU has IMO the best player in the league and a more well-rounded machine. I think they are gonna eat a lot of teams alive down low this year. That's a big thing for a Valley team in winning a title.

I went with Creighton.
