I thought this discussion might be interesting now that we've had a chance to see a few games.

Moore looks like a legitimate choice and IlSU looks to be playing well enough to get consideration for post-season awards. Chatman is getting limited minutes, but his stats look good for the minutes he's gotten. Kirk isn't looking like a contender. Sorry, Bears fans.

I didn't check the guys who didn't get many votes. Are any Fr contributing who weren't expected to be significant before the season started?

For WSU, Cotton Tekele has earned the backup PG spot. It's doubtful he'll get enough minutes for consideration for FOY, but you may want to get acquainted with the name. He had 3 steals against UAB. He looks and plays like an old-school SIU player. He's sort of a linebacker PG who defends with his hair on fire.

Both Deon Mitchell and Seth Tuttle have started every game for UNI. Both of them have performed very well to this point, and each of them have led the team in scoring in multiple games already.

Need to replace jake white for wsu with tekele cotton. Cotton is legit and perhaps the best perimeter defender for the shox already as a freshman. Jake white is hardly playing.

I'm currently watching the UNI game and Tuttle looks good. Of the freshmen I've seen so far, he gets my vote. I suspect he will have more opportunity than a lot of other candidates and has the talent too.

I do think that Avery Dingman for Creighton should be added to the candidate list though as he has a solid chance to make an all frosh team if he keeps up his hot shooting.

No need to be sorry about Kirk. The fact he isn't needed to play many minutes is a great sign for success for the team.

Wilson is redshirting...

For MSU Christian Kirk is playing pretty well. He's at this point ahead of a pretty highly thought of juco transfer in the rotation. He's been giving us some quality minutes. But that being said I don't think he'll get enough PT (behind Weems) or enough scoring opportunities to be given much consideration for FOY.
