I don't think Christian Kirk will start for MSU. But I think he'll be an important player for us. He sure looks like the real deal. I think Drew Wilson will be a very good player for the Bears too. It should be an interesting duel between the 2 of them this year given that they play the same position.

The six true freshmen for UNI this year. From left to right is 6-8 Seth Tuttle, 6-4 Matt Bohannon, 6-1 Deon Mitchell, 6-2 Jevon Lyle, 6-6 Marvin Singleton, 6-8 Chris Olivier.

Will also have redshirt freshmen wings in 6-8 Nate Buss and 6-5 Max Martino

Look for Tuttle to start at least at the beginning of the year because Pehl is out with 5-6 weeks with a stress fracture and Olivier who we were expecting to for sure play this year is now out with a broken foot and now may redshirt.
Mitchell will compete for the starting pg but will probably come off the bench. Beyond those two we are not sure who will and will not redshirt.

I picked Nic Moore, but redshirt freshman Jordan Threloff could have quite an impact as well.

I picked Moore because more than likely he's going to play big minutes and stands a good chance of putting up some of the better counting stats in comparison to other freshmen in the conference this year.

Unless Gant has had an absolutely huge summer, he won't start for the sycs. He may redshirt. If he doesn't redshirt, he'll likely split time with Kitchell...so I can't see it being him at all.

Hopefully Moore and some of the younger guys can be the foundation for success in the future.

Justin Gant ISU Blue is pretty solid and looks like he's going to get some minutes for the Sycamores. Might even work himself into a starting role for a decent team. He drew interest from some Big Ten schools before committing to In State. Not saying he will be freshman of the year, but I think he will be more of a factor than some think he will be. Doesn't have a lot of hype or expectation surrounding him - that won't hurt him. Still say Odum got snubbed by voters last year, but I mean why should a 6'8 guy like McD be expected to play defense.

If the FOY would happen to come from either ISUB, WSU or CU then that team is likely the league champs as well.

Just another reason to select the Jays because Chatman will be dynamite and certainly in the mix.

And just to be clear, the FOY is NOT coming from WSU.

Honestly, even if Chatman is the real deal, I don't think he gets enough PT to be FOY. I voted for NIc Moore because I expect he'll start from day one .
