Did we lose television games compared to last year? I think they're roughly similar. There were also quite a few ESPN3 games last year as well.

If you're projected to be a factor in the league race in the preseason, you're gonna get your share of TV games. If you're middling around or worse, then yes, you'll probably think you're getting the shaft.

Maybe you're right Baller.

Missouri State had 6 on ESPN/2/U last year and none listed solely as ESPN3

WSU has 5 this year on ESPN/2/U and none listed solely as ESPN3

Creighton has 5, 3 of which are on ESPN/2/U and 2 that are solely ESPN3

Indiana State has 5, all on ESPN/2/U

Northern Iowa has 6, 4 of which are on ESPN/2/U and 2 that are solely ESPN3

Heck, Evansville has 5 and 4 of those are on ESPN/2/U

Always seemed like we had better treatment in the past and maybe we did top to bottom, but it seems like our top teams are where they always have been

I'd just like to be able to watch more games and don't care who is broadcasting them. This television schedule stinks. If you don't have ESPNU or ESPN3, you won't see much Valley.

Does anyone know when/where the FSN Midwest games will be announced. It seems like it was announced sooner than this last year.

Thanks!

As far as national exposure, ESPN3 brings us nothing, but our deal with ESPN seems at least as good as with CBS or NBC Sports Networks, which are typically premium cable channels (at least they are on all the systems around E'ville)

(ESPNU is premium as well)

NBA lockout is holding a lot of this up. ISU accidentally included their tv schedule in the virtual media guide (which since has been taken down). I know we have 2 MVC-TV games which are shown on FSN. @SIU on 1/1 and vs. Indiana St. 1/18

We are quickly approaching the start of the year so I could see it being announced as soon as this week. As far as the redbirds go, we are seeing that a lot more of our games are going to be on CSN chicago or CSN+ opposed to their spotlight channel. Could be more since this lockout thing isn't looking good (bulls are regularly shown on CSN Chicago and they will likely look to replace). Here is our tv schedule that was accidentally released.

Rutgers (CBS Sports Network) Nov. 22nd 6pm
UIUC/Richmond (CBS Sports Network) Nov 23rd 6/8:30pm
@Morehead St. (CSN) Dec. 7th 6pm
@SIU (MVC-TV) Jan. 1st 2pm
Creighton (ESPN3) Jan. 13th 8pm
@Drake (CSN+) Jan. 15th 7pm
Indiana St. (MVC-TV) Jan. 18th 7pm
@Evansville (CSN) Jan. 21st 7pm
SIU (CSN) Jan 28th 3pm
Bradley (CSN) Feb. 4th 7pm
@UNI (CSN) Feb 11th 7pm
@Indiana St. (CSN+) Feb 14th 6pm

Fox release says Mitch Holthus is doing games, but I wonder how many?

Well, I guess that's only 3 Creighton games I cannot watch on FSN Midwest...

I think the new deal will include all FSN produced games being rebroadcast on ESPN3, so they will be available in some form nationwide.
