Ole MIss wins 63-59. DU could've won if the offense hadn't given out in the last few minutes.

Damn...so close.

The bad news: Drake shot 38% from the field and turned the ball over 23 times.

The good news: Drake shot 38% from the field and turned the ball over 23 times.....and still hung with an SEC team.

Drake didn't seem to have the same mental toughness as they did against Iowa State.

Cause for Concern: Drake's 1st 3 opponents have shot 96 free throws.

This would have been a great win for Drake and the Valley. Wish they could have held that halftime lead.

Bummer game. But I'm certainly encouraged by Drake's early play.

We'll most likely play Winthrop tomorrow night. If we do beat Winthrop, does anyone know the likely opponent we would play Monday? Is there a chance we can still get out of this thing with a worthwhile "W"?

Drake's final game will be against Drexel or the loser of TCU/Virginia (probably TCU). I'd guess Drexel and TCU are similar to mid- to lower-level MVC teams. That's not great competition, but I'll honestly be pretty happy if Drake goes 2-1 in this tourney.

TCU beat Virginia. So Drake plays Winthrop next, and will finish with either Drexel or Virginia.
