Illinois St will be a lot better this year than I expected. I watched the second half last night and the whole game tonight and am pretty impressed. Very long and pretty darn athletic. Right now I'd say they are head and shoulders better than both SIU and Bradley and probably better than Evansville (IlSU's bigs will destroy UE).

Good effort. Things just didn't go ISUR's way at the end. Stepping out of bounds on a wide open 3 and a missed lay up that might have at least gotten them extra time.

After watching their games in Cancun though, I'll go out on a limb and say that they will not be playing on Thursday. Realistically I do think that they will be fighting for the 5-7 spots, with who, I'm not sure. Carmichael has got to play though, foul trouble hurt them in both games.

Well done ISU-r, a great showing indeed. That game could have definitely gone either way, the execution just wasn't there when it needed to be. Regardless, as pretty much everyone has said, excellent job representing the MVC!
