Big night for the MVC

5 games, 4 on the road, all at tough places.

3-2 would be a good night for the league....4-1 would be tremendous.

I'm praying for a valley sweep! Probably not going to happen, but according to RealtimeRPI, the Valley is currently #7. Just a small hair from cracking into top 6. A big night could really move the Valley up!

Rank Conference Avg. RPI Avg. SOS SOS Rank
1 Big Ten 0.6011 0.5315 5 12
2 Southeastern 0.5716 0.5312 6 12
3 Atlantic Coast 0.5698 0.5439 2 12
4 Atlantic 10 0.5624 0.5297 8 14
5 Big 12 0.5602 0.5000 17 10
6 Big East 0.5600 0.5115 12 16
7 Missouri Valley 0.5533 0.5230 9 10

There are three rules that I live by, never get less than 12 hours sleep, never gamble with a guy who has the same first name as a city and never get involved with a chick with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Stick to that and everything else is gravy!

MSU and Drake don't show up. UNI takes care of business. Up to Creighton to make it a 3-2 night now.

:valley:
Thoughts and prayers to WSU finding a new conference.

Dare I say 1-bid after we fail on a "big night"?

Nope. Let's get past 4 games out of 30+ before we say anything. Nobody knows what is going to happen

Please note this was posted when Creighton was down 17 to SDSU.

My point still stands. If CU had lost tonight, it still wouldn't have made us a one-bid league tonight. CU, WSU, MSU all have a bunch of quality wins out there to be had

The Valley has Doug Gottlieb's attention tonight on twitter:

Creighton comes from 17 down to win at Viejas...Valley getting at minimum three bids if Wichita gets it going

win of the night? How about UNI at Iowa State-

My point still stands that it would have been a huge opportunity lost for the conference and would have completed an otherwise very ugly night. This was a pickup for the Valley and easily the best win so far. It was desperately needed for at-large implications, at least at this moment.

I know it's too early to ultimately decide the bids of the league and agree there are other opportunities out there, but you have to understand my frustration with the way the night was going and Creighton down nearly 20 at the time of the post.
