Wyoming has scored nearly as many points in the first 4 minutes of the second half as they did in the entire first half.

Wyoming leads 33-24. 16mins to play.

Yeah...it was about as bad as it gets last night in the 2nd half, after a very solid defensive first half. Two factoids sum up the night (in no order)...

-First time since February of 2000 that BU failed to make a 3 in a game.

-3 assists/22 turnovers, 16 of which were in the 2nd half.

Will be good to get back home on Tuesday, but as many have said and have thought, every game is going to be a struggle this year. We just don't have the horses.

Oy.

Think this team would have fared better under Les's system? Haven't watched the Braves yet this year, so I'm not sure if its all that different of style...

The system is drastically different. It emphasizes pushing the tempo and getting the ball inside. You know, conventional basketball? It's not 5 guards shooting 25 3's, getting blasted on the glass, and playing lazy defense, which was the Les system since 2007. We would have about the same record even if Les stays and Sam Maniscalco is still on the roster, and looking at a bottom half finish, maybe even playing in. Not exactly where you want to be in Year 10 of a coaching 'experiment'.

We just don't have the players to do what Geno wants to do right now. What's really been exposed is how poorly Les had recruited the past few years. Half the guys getting minutes wouldn't even make half the rosters in the Valley.

BTW - UC-Davis, now led by Jim Les, is winless against Division I.

Agreed with BradleyBrave. The problem with Bradley last year and now (and in the next couple years) has nothing to do with coaching style, timeout usage, out of bounds plays, or any other in game intricasies. It has to do with having a lower level Summit League roster trying to compete in an improved MVC.

Sadly many scholarships are tied up with dead weight so BU only has two rides for next year and have them claimed already. Either the University Prez let's Geno get rid of some guys (she doesn't like doing this...saying they are there for the experience, blah, blah, blah) or this project will take quite some time.

Does the coach really have to get the University President's permission to pull a scholarship?
