Looks like CU and Vandy tied with 88 points. Yahoo chose Vandy over CU for some reason

get wins over tulsa and Northwestern and that should turn around. UNI's and WSU's stock should keep rising as well.

It is very important that all valley teams close out the non-con strong. It will continue to get our conference in the national spotlight and in front of those who vote for these polls. Not to mention it will set up valley teams with stronger bracketbuster games which you better believe will be highlighted in the media as a make it or break it for our conference to get multiple bids.

Yeah, beat Tulsa and Northwestern, we should be in the late teens. Lose either one of those and we won't be ranked for awhile if ever again this year.

Interesting choice of words, considering CU plays WSU in Wichita 12-31-2011.

I guess I missed how it was an interesting choice of words...

What does WSU have to do with what he said about not being ranked again this year if they lose to Tulsa or Northwestern?

It implies being ranked next year. If CU beats WSU in Wichita on New Years Eve, CU will likely be ranked in the first poll after the first of the year, even if they lose to either Tulsa or Northwestern.

Here is an interesting quote from Jason King of ESPN

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/7347872/the-king-court-scours-nation-all-latest-college-basketball

2. The race for the Missouri Valley Conference title will be one of the best of the season. With Wichita State, Creighton, Northern Iowa and Indiana State, I'll be disappointed if this isn't at least a three-bid league.
:o

The nice thing about this is that the conference will likely be defended in the national spotlight if it does end up happening unlike Packer's comments some years back.
