ISU Schedules home/home with Northwestern

We leveraged our football program to get us a home/home with Northwestern starting in 2013-14. Earlier we were told that they rejected a 2-1 offer. This deal involves our football team going to their place probably for less cash than a normal buy game, but travel is much easier on both schools anyways so its a win/win. The other rumor is that Northwestern will be joining us in the South Padre Invitational next season so we could potentially be facing each other 3 years in a row on the hardwood.

.....looks like we got an AD that knows how to think outside the box.

Well done... SIU did this with Indiana a few years back.

Personally, I think in-state schools should play each other without strings attached... but that's not the world we are living in today.

And this just goes to show, having FCS football can actually be valuable.
