I've watched Northwestern play a couple of times and I think they'll win their share of games this year.

Very nice win Jays. Another quality one for the resume.

I dunno how good it will look by the time Northwestern goes through the Big Ten, especially given their history, but as it stands now, good win.

I was going back and forth in my mind on that exact same thought, will the B1G bring Northwestern back to reality? After seeing them in person, the best I can come up with is probably a little, but they will win their share. As I look at it, Northwestern will beat Nebraska and Iowa twice, they will beat Penn State once, they will probably sneak in a big upset and a few other wins. They will probably finish 9-7 or even 10-6. If they win one game in the conference tourney, that gives them a very nice resume and will be dancing. It will also put them somewhere near the top 50.

I was amazed at their discipline and just how good they shoot the ball. The Princeton offense will give teams fits.

I agree, and add to that, if you are like me and watched the game, I don't think Northwestern beats Creighton more than 1 or 2 times out of 10. They're just flat out better.

I am not saying CU is Ohio State (with JS) good, for instance, but they'd battle for 2-3-4 in the Big10 imho.

Fair point. I think that, at the very least, Northwestern will be a team on the bubble (the Big 10 could legitimately get up to 8 teams into the tourney). If we are both sitting on the bubble, it will be nice to have a head to head win against one of the other teams on the bubble.

Ideally, Northwestern will keep its RPI under 50, but that is probably pretty unlikely.

The key take-away from this game for Creighton is that even with Dougie on the bench for about 13 minutes in the first half, the team still had a lead at halftime. It is important that the team have confidence that they still can win even if DM is having an off game or in foul trouble.

I enjoy watching Northwestern play and was intrigued by this matchup. I thought CU was going to be in trouble but that rally at the end of the first half probably won the game for them. This could be one of the better Valley teams and conference races in a while.
