So I guess since we're only counting games against Creighton, Weems is the runaway Player of the Year, yes? :Bam:

OK, so here goes again, just to pacify the me-me-me Creighton fans.

INCLUDING THE CREIGHTON GAME, in conference games only...

Stutz is averaging 15 points and 9 boards per game in conference play, ahead of Paul Miller's pace of 2006 when he won POY.
Random MVCFans.com member, circa 2007: "Gregg Marshall is in over his head in this conference."

No way is Odum first team..... even if you are going by position it is "iffy"

Weems is top 5 in scoring and rebounding.

Rice is 3rd in scoring and leads steals.

This thread was started 3 weeks ago, prior to Conference play. I agree, Weems over Odum at this point. Stutz is definately making a case for first team. He and Ragland could easily make up 40% of the first team, and just as easily be third team since neither is averaging over 13 ppg.

My revised first team is:

Still Dougie, Young, Rice, and Ragland...Weems in Odum out.

Much basketball left to play and if Evansville gets hot and Drake stumbles, Ryan makes a nice first teamer in place of Rice. Other boarderline first team talents playing on possible top 4 finishers are Odum, Seck, Carmichael, Brown (Ill st), James, Stutz, Simons, Murry (?).

Taylor Brown gets a :Violin:

Nicely done Chris.

I agree that I would put Weems over Patterson. A down year (so far) for Weems but still his all around game is superior to most players. But it's nice to see Caleb's name on there.

Another quibble is Jake Odum at the point. I just don't think he's played well to this point. Ryan is having a very good year and seems like he should be on the first or 2nd team but I'm not sure who I would replace him with.

I agree with most of your selections. But the funny thing is I'm not sure but what your 2nd team wouldn't beat your 1st team in a real game!
