Predictions over the next 9 days

Postby MVCfans » January 7th, 2012, 8:44 am

It's a huge week in Valley play - 4 games in 9 days (Sat, Tue, Fri, Sun). I posted the schedules for each team on The MVC Report along with my predictions for each team during that stretch. We'll be approaching the mid-point of the conference season by the end of next weekend's games.

I'd take 3-1 for MSU. Not sure if CU and WSU will both go 4-0 the way things have gone so far? But if it does go that way then WSU, CU, and MSU will begin to separate themselves from the rest of the Valley at the top.

If Chris's predictions are correct, the standings would look like this on Jan. 16:

1. Wichita State 6-1
-. Creighton 6-1
3. Missouri State 5-2
4. Evansville 4-3
-. Drake 4-3
6. Illinois State 3-4
7. Northern Iowa 2-5
-. Indiana State 2-5
-. Southern Illinois 2-5
10. Bradley 1-6

Now: What is D+ doing 2 games out of Thursday?

Of the 10 schools, I think Drake has the most favorable 4 game stretch.

I predict

That if those predictions are correct

A few UNI and InSU posters will be MIA out here in a week, causing WSUballer to be unable to fully utilize his hundreds of bookmarked posts.

I'm new...but HUNDREDS? Blackmail?

If those predictions are right, I'll be supremely disappointed (as it probably would mean ISU would have gone 0-3 at home over the next 9 days), but I'll be here to take my beating.

I think if ISU can get the offense going they'll be 4-3. 2-5 would be absolutely devastating.

I will go out on a limb and say UE goes 3-1 over the next 4.

I hope your predictions about UNI are wrong, although they certainly aren't unreasonable. If the Panther's play tough and like they have these past two games then I see them at 3-1 with a loss, albeit a competitive one, to Creighton. I'm confident they can handle the Bears at home and will take care of business in Peoria. I have been wrong before however.
[Insert snappy comeback]
