SIU had gotten within 2 in the second half. The inconsistent Bears are once again extremely inconsistent.

2:00 to go, and Weems called for a weird intentional foul. He was on the floor, grabbed a leg and they called an intentional foul (on a guy without the ball).

Up 9, but could be a game now.

Weems fouls out on a weird offensive foul call (dribbling ball waiting to be fouled).

Seck fouls out now as well, and Bears up 9 with :44 to play.

A win, but a tough win (as usual for Valley).

The Bears played really well in spurts. The turnovers are what killed us. Not used to seeing Biz turn the ball over much at all. Or Weems. It was nice to have Patterson back and he played pretty well. And Christian Kirk is developing into a very nice player. He really battled Seck. He had 10 rebounds.

SIU is pretty good. I have no doubt they are going to beat a couple of the upper tier teams before this is over.
