Each week we will open a poll for users to predict the end of season finish for the MVC 2010-2011 basketball season. We will work in reverse order, concluding with the predicted MVC champion chosen by our users between the last two teams remaining in week 9 (just in time for MVC media days).

Last week, Northern Iowa was predicted to finish in 4th place.

If Echenique is as good as advertised, I'd pick Wsu or Msu here. Just not sure though, so Cu makes the most sense.

Regardless of how good he is their guards have to hit some treys at a decent %

I have to go with CU here. The returning guys don't have the ability to finish top 2 without substantial help from the freshmen and Mr. Echineque. McDermott may well be able to put this together without the P'headache of a certain disfunctional player. But I think it will take a while for it to gell. My guess is they will be maybe a game ahead of .500 at the half way point and come on strong to finish 3rd and garner an NIT home game - if not the start to another string of St. Louis celebrations.

Seems like the only close vote was between the ISU's. The MVC must be a in for a predictable and boring year.

I picked MSU. While last year was certainly close, 7 to 2 is a tough job when most teams look to be improved from last season.

Creighton obviously has the best 1-2 punch in the post in the Valley, if not all of D1. MSU has Creekmore and the other guy. Edge, CU.

Since MSU beat CU 2 of 3 last year and most of the main players return for both I voted for CU 3rd.

Since WSU has most back and swept MSU, WSU 1st and MSU 2nd.
