Lack of scoring, mostly. The forecast records were derived by comparing each team's average points per game. Low-scoring teams like MSU and UNI lost out. (I have UNI at 9-9)

Did you take into account the defensive PPG? You realize that UNI is giving up the least PPG as well and is SIX-TENTHS OF A POINT short of being 4th in the league in scoring.....right?

No. I also didn't claim that I tried to be complete.

I see the Aces going 9-4...okay really I think 10-3 through the remainder of the schedule. Whether it's 12-6 or 11-7, I don't see the Ace palying on Thurs. UNI , Drake, SIU, Bradley are Thursday night teams

Loser of the friday night game between EVille & Drake is 90% lock for Thursday IMO.

Unfortunately I think Drake loses Friday. I have no hope that Phelps can improve team play or player confidence. Painful to watch the waste of talent this season and the lack of hope from the old faithful dog fans. Can't even say wait till next year, hoping that Phelps is replaced, the current admin at Drake don't have the resources/valued contacts to make a better hire. Only shred of hope is the admin get lucky.

Bradely, SIU, Drake and Indiana State unless the Sycamores can find some magic real quick. I've been surprised at home much Odum's injury has affected them. I expected more bench contribution and in that game in Cedar Falls they got very little.
[Insert snappy comeback]

Any of the teams 3 through 10 are capable of being play in teams at this point. There is barely 10 points difference between any of them. That level of competition builds into incredible energy at tournament time as we saw last year. I am also predicting the conference tournament winner won't come from the top 2 again. A couple of teams will get on a roll before the end of the year yet. Those on top better win a bunch of games without many upsets along the way. We saw perceived upsets happen the first week of the conference season, we definately can see it happen in the final week/games also.

My guess right now would be:

10 - Bradley
9 - SIU
8 - Drake
7 - Indiana State...But wouldn't be shocked if Illinois State wore down over the season and fell to 7th either.

UNI could be in the argument, but I just don't see a Jacobson coached team playing on Thursday...Never say never though I guess.
