Evansville paper:
Winning far more important to UE's Ryan than scoring points
When Colt Ryan finished a point shy of scoring 40 on Wednesday night, the University of Evansville junior didn't need to glance at a box score after the game to review his shooting performance.
That's because his teammates were more than happy to remind him of the shots he didn't make during the 90-67 victory over Bradley University in a Missouri Valley Conference basketball game.
"The guys were really giving me a hard time in the locker room for missing a free throw," said Ryan.
Still, his career-high 39 points was enough to move the guard from Batesville, Ind., into a tie with Jerry Sloan for 20th on the all-time school scoring list with 1,560 career points.................
