Yep. He's flying to Wichita right after this game. He'll be helping out the Shocks. Doug always liked the frontrunners.

The prime difference being that SIU used to be really, really good, and won in the Valley for years, not 3 days.

I agree with you. 100%.

The Sycs just look like a team that know they can't shoot the ball at all right now and know that their D won't hold up for 40 minutes against a ridiculously deep Creighton team. Their body language is awful. They look beaten as soon as they fall behind by more than a handful. They just don't look like a team that thinks they can win a game right now as a team. There are some individuals busting ass...but it's not a team thing like it was last year.

One positive: I've actually been very impressed at their ability to trap/defend McDermott this game.

same here, but they switched back. Its all good. game was already decided at that point and they have a game in OT with Cinci and WVU.

Agreed, I thoroughly enjoyed that game. It was nice to watch a game and not have my heart racing like crazy (see MSU game).
