It is too hard to keep track of all of these Creighton rivalries!

UNI hates us because Dougie told them "something suddenly came up" and they didn't have time to find another prom date. We're the only school that will cause the pig farmers to leave the smell of money for a couple of hours.

WSU hates us because we owned them for the first decade of the century.

Drake considers us a rival due to proximity.

MSU fans are mad that Dougie gets more press than Weems.

Illinois St and Bradley hate each other, but have both come out in huge numbers to watch the Jays.

It is lonely at the top!

I have not even looked into those other years, because as I have already pointed out, they are not comparable to this year. Not even close.

In '09 CU tied UNI for the league title, and CU did not even make the tournament. Not to mention UNI was nowhere near the top 25.

Last year, MSU was tied with wichita until the last day, and neither were nowhere near the top 25 and neither of them were tournament teams.

Get it? With the Drake and UNI teams, it was very similar to this year with a defined front runner that is in the top 25 and a likely tournament team. Pretty simple.

What I don't understand champ, is how you say 2009 or 2011 isn't like this year. From my vantage point, it looks pretty similar. While it is true CU is in first, we are TIED with WSU. We have no commanding lead. In essence it looks exactly like 2009 or even last year. The only difference is that WSU isn't getting any respect from the poll voters (for some reason that I can't explain. I think the UNLV win is pretty impressive personally).

Anyway, if UNI "fans" only turn out to see good teams, why didn't they turn out to see the first place Shockers? What was UNI's attendance that game - a bit over 4K or so?

Evansville is tickets scanned for the last few years.

Traditionally our strongest conference game has been SIU. They'll probably be close to the top again this year at a little over 6000 (didn't look it up)
