So bad teams win close games? What are you trying to say here?

What is a "good team?"

What is a "bad team?"

How about, "Good teams blow out their opponent?"

AD believe close games are determined by magical fairies.

Now here comes me being an axx:

Is a blow-out more than or less than 12 points?

Good teams know how to finish a game, a bad team doesn't.

Depends ono the margin throughout the game in my opinion. If a team is up my double figures all or most the game, then I would say that is a blow out. If you are just going by point spread, I would say 15 points.

Yeah, I have to agree, but that's okay. As a WSU fan I sorta hi-jacked the thread and I get what I get. OTOH, you quoting an "expert" doesn't make you correct. Your avoidance of the question doesn't make you more or less right. Bottom line is that good teams will win more games than bad teams. Mediocre teams will win about half their games. The better the team, the more victories, the higher the point spread. The difference between 9-9 Evansville and 9-9 Drake is a tie-breaker. Who's the third best team? Doesn't matter because 5 can claim it but at the end of the day they're all mid-pack.

The irony of the article posted is that without the fans this "expert" says are full of bs, this guy wouldn't have a job.

Fair. I buy this explanation. I always wondered what the experts used for a "bad loss." But, that is another "rabbit hole."

Good teams will win more games than bad teams because typically good teams have better players, coaches, and programs. Now, I need to define better (stats? eye test? history of winning?).

That said: when the game is tied, and there is 1.2 seconds on the clock, and the ball is being tipped, tipped, tipped by both teams back and forth, and it falls into the net for a "One Possession" win, be careful about reading too much into the game. 12- 15 points wins, I get it.
