We often discuss "what would be best for the Valley". In this game it would be "best for the Valley" for UNI to win. An SIU win might be enough for Lowery to keep his job another year.

I was kinda thinking the best thing for the Valley might be the roof caving in...

SIU might be the only MVC team UNI could have beaten tonight. I'll take the win though, despite being one of the worst games UNI has played, which is saying a lot.

UNI wins, making the race for Thursday night a little more interesting. Remaining games:

UNI (5-7): CU, @ WSU, IlSU, @ UE, BU, @ SIU

The UNI/UE matchup could be the deciding game. I'd say that UNI's remaining schedule is a little softer than UE's. UE already has a W over UNI, so if UE beats UNI in the rematch and they end up tied, UE escapes to Friday.
