Rich Herrin back in coaching

Postby squirrel » February 20th, 2012, 3:21 pm

Former SIU and Benton (IL) HS coach Rich Herrin is set to re-join the college basketball coaching ranks as the the first-ever coach at downstate Morthland College, a tiny bible college founded in 2010 in West Frankfort, IL. The school announced in late January its intent to launch an athletics program, and today announced Rich Herrin will be the basketball program's first coach.

The school hopes it will be admitted into the National Christian College Athletic Association.

Doug Collins high school coach! Regardless of age, I am glad to see Rich Herrin back at it. A real classy guy and not to bad of a coach.
