You guess correctly. Maybe Indy St. did back off. I have no idea. I'm just going off what I've read and seen. He was a Top 30 Center by many accounts and I know we were very glad to get his signature.

We'll close the voting now. Rayvonte Rice from Drake is your official MVCfans.com predicted winner of the Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year award.

I will end the voting for NOY on Friday and POY on Monday.

I voted for Rayvonte Rice.

Incidentally, as far as Bradley is concerned, I kind of think that if there was a guy who could surprise from BU in this particular race it's actually Walt Lemon, Jr. I know he's at the back end of a crowded back court, but reports have been very positive on the guy.

I'd like to recast my vote for Doug. I am going to hate seeing that kid for the next 4 years.

I didn't even cast my vote for Doug because I didn't think he'd be able to get much playing time. Wragge's injury has opened the door and Doug has impressed. He has really good instincts and always seems to be in the right position.

Jon Ekey is leading the conference in blocks, averaging 2.4 per game. He won't put up numbers this season like McD and Ray, but he is showing signs of being a phenominal player in the coming years.

Rice has definitely become a bigger part of Drake's offense in the last 3 games. In the 3 games in Anchorage, he had 46 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists, including 21 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals and a block last night.
