I am the MVC correspondent for the college basketball site Rush the Court (http://rushthecourt.net) This is my third year doing this for them.

My MVC preview for this season was posted today. If you want check it out and see what you think. I would love the feedback and anything else you want me to make sure to include this season on my weekly updates there.

Good write up, I like how you went against the grain and went a little different. I think it could very well be WSU or MSU, I just hope the Valley gets multiple bids again. I think the valley will look pretty strong this year.

I would still give WSU the nod, but its not crazy to think that MSU could take it.

However, I think SIU is way to high. I have a hard time believing CLo can restore Hand Check U's defensive intensity, especially with all the newcommers. Fay can be decent, Teague showed promise, but I really don't remember much from their backcourt last year.

If Bradley, UNI and Illinois State all finish below SIU, I'll buy you a keg.

I could see SIU finishing significantly higher than their 9th place prediction, but I don't see any way in hell they finish 4th.

And, I don't see any way that Wichita St does not win the conference. Too much talent returning from a successful team last year. There would be no excuse this year.

Like the multiple bids prediction though.

No kidding. ISUB has been the class of the league for years. No way a well funded and highly supported program like that with all of their rich tradition of 100s of fans in attendance would ever finish last, unless of course their NBA backcourt declares early or their coach leaves to become the Associate Head Coach at Upper Indiana Tech.

I can understand the Missouri State pick. It's definitely possible. The thing I'm lost at is SIU at No.4. I'm with bigdawg. Is there something everybody is not seeing besides you? The Salukis could challenge to play out of Thursday night, but Top 4? Wow. That would be nearly a Drake in 08 type of turnaround and I just don't think those happen as often as some think. Definitely a crazy pick.

There is a bit of a Creighton slant to the write-up, but overall, I think it's pretty fair and informative.

Any chance this can get put up on thebluejaycafe?
