Excuses for every MVC team

I will start:

Illinois State: too young / too inexperienced / CUPCAKES!
Drake: see Illinois State above, minus the cupcakes!

Bradley: injuries or everyone (refs, pj star, Kyle Whelliston, Peoria County DA, etc) has it in for them

Indiana State: New System / Hard to replace the loss of Larry Bird (1979)

Wichita State: Time-keepers / refs or having to play a game at Evansville every year or playing down to the rest of the inferior MVC teams in general.

SIU: Bad Coach

Evansville: Conference too tough. Division I too tough?

Missouri State: Coach Barry Hinson / still getting used to new arena.

Creighton: Matt Perrault

UNI: Doug McDermott

Just for Fun. Please don't take seriously. Gotta learn to laugh at ourselves. :D

That's pretty funny stuff...You always have to take some things light heartedly...

I think we (Creighton) have the only legit excuse. :)

Good stuff...can't really argue with any of them.

Absolutely great stuff Mel.

My attempt (sorry for any repeats):

BU: Jim Les. MVC always screws us by scheduling best games while students are on breaks.

CU: Echinique isn't available until 12/18. Need time to adjust to new coaching style.

DU: Our top recruiting classes need more experience. Our coach needs more experience.

Evansville: We are a very small, small school. Can't perform without the sleeves.

Illinois State: All of our best players graduated. Jackie is a girl's name.

Indiana State: New Coach. Very hard psychologically to get over the fact that previous coached dumped us to be a mere assistant elsewhere. Oh yeah, we are broke.

UNI: Nobody lives around us. The weather is always horrible. We may not be D1 much longer unless we can sacrifice our FB team to some more FBS programs for mega cash. We are broke, broke, broke.

MSU: The NCAA selection committee hates us. Recruits choose minor league baseball over enrolling.

SIU: Who knew that when Lowery lost all that weight that he also lost the ability to coach? We were better when he was fat. We are too poor to fire him.

WSU: We have to play Evansville twice a year. So unfair - who else has to do that? They are holding us back. The MVC office has it in for us too - we never get any calls.

INSU isn't nearly as broke as we used to be...sadly even though our coach left because we cut the travel budget a little, money wise we are in much better shape than we were just a year or two ago....

Didn't know where to put this but this seems a good place in making excuses (before the game is even played :Violin: )...

CU future opponent (Thanksgiving weekend) Kennesaw State put a whoopin on Georgia Tech 80-63. :o It was at Kennesaw thus putting another nail in the coffin for mid-majors getting BcS schools to come to their gyms.

Yeah mid majors will only have the opportunity to play BCS schools if they take away games or play them in tourneys, which is probably the most logical idea.
