First UE Opponent in New Arena - Indiana University

It was announced today that the first basketball game to be played at the new Evansville Arena will be the Aces hosting Indiana University in their November 2011 season opener.
This should be a great way to christen the new arena. Can't wait!

Congrats! Hopefully the "series" mentioned in the article is a long term and fairly equitable series for the Aces.

Great news! That means the Aces will have three tough non-con games (UNC, at Butler, at IU) next season to help prepare them for the conference season. Wouldn't it be great it we could win all three!

Looks like we (UE)go to Bloomington this year back home next year then, for unknown reason skip a year theN back to Bloomington. Not sure if IU game will be UE first game at new stadium or not. I would like them to have a couple under their belt first. As far as if they can win all three.... BU NC IU ,Why not. As a fan you gotta hope. Or why go to the games?

My thoughts exactly! There is a reason they play the games, you never know what might happen.

Nice to see some Purple Code posters here. Yea, I'm excited to see what rest of schedule looks like. Right know with these games and some of the others we think are happening,WKU, Austin Peay, Miami(Oh) we should have one of MVC better schedules.

I'm impressed with the way Evansville seems able to get some really quality teams on the nonconference schedule. That does nothing but help the rest of the league, regardless of the end result of these games.

That is very cool indeed. You might as well break the place in with one of the best programs in college basketball. Well, maybe when the dude with the sweater was there coaching, but you know.

Man, UE will get spanked by IU. IU will be even better in 2011, than this year, but I see IU winning all 3.
