I heard the coach say he did see on the TV interview. He had no remorse about the T being called. He said his team deserved to win.

If it's a rule that a "spike" is an automatic technical, is there any official definition of a spike. In other words, are the officials allowed to differentiate between a spike made in anger that goes 30 feet in the air vs one that is made in celebration, and barely goes above the player's head?

Looking at the replay, the ball definitely went higher than I originally thought.
Still doesn't change my opinion about the call.
