Well since it going to be on ESPN3, this means all-games will be available (except for local contracts) instead of one game of the week that Fox Midwest chose to broadcast (which sometime meant only sucky bottom feeders games). So yeah, it is different.

the MVC and CBS Sports have signed a deal. the MVC title game will continue to be on CBS, the semis will move to CBSSN as well as eight regular season games

ESPN just laid off lots of people including multiple college basketball folks like Eamon Brennan, Jeff Goodman, Dana Oneill. It will be interesting to see what the next cycle of media rights contracts are worth and how that impacts college sports.

Jeff Goodman is safe, I believe. It was soccer writer Mike Goodman that was relieved.
