Will your team be better or worse next year?

I'm scared that next year is going to be pretty crappy as far as the MVC goes. How many teams can honestly look at their prospects and say they will be better? The Braves should definitely be improved but that's not saying a whole lot.

Wichita, I believe will be very good, but different. I do believe that we can spend a fair amount of time in the Top 25 with the group that we have.

One man's humble opinion:

Wichita State - step down - losing 2 AA's, new PG, will still be good, but not as good
Evansville - big step down - just losing way too many
Illinois State - step up - lots returning, need to build depth to take big step up
Northern Iowa - neutral - Jeremy Morgan might be MVP of Valley next year
Southern Illinois - step up - have a lot returning, stats say they should improve
Indiana State - step up - primarily due to coaching in a down valley
Drake - step down - loss of C hurts
Loyola - step down - losing offensive production in offseason, not much to replace
Missouri State - step up - maybe. still not sold this core improves
Bradley - neutral - have a lot returning, but what's returning is bad

UNI is tough to tell.

Wes, Bo and Paul will be tough to replace, especially since Wes will be replaced by a true freshman and redshirt freshman. Bo and Paul are tough to replicate with what they did but the freshman class has a much higher ceiling than the graduating glass.

Neutral is probably about right. I think 23-25 wins after Arch Madness is reasonable.

TBD - we only return 4 real contributors from last year - just happens to be our best 4 players.

Once spring recruitment takes shape ISUr picture will be clearer

Being optimistic UE finishes 7th and being pessimistic they finish 10th - as a realistic projection I say 8th or 9th.

Prior to yesterday, I would have definitely said step up for Drake.

Now, it all depends on how they fill the three open scholarships. Realistically, it would be hard for Drake to be any worse next year than they were this season.

absolutely no idea for Indiana State fans, we get Brenton Scott back, we get TJ Bell back, we get Bronson Kessinger, hopefully Rickman will be better.

We also have some JC kids coming in, who knows how they'll perform?

We could be worse, or we could be better, just not sure? We have a difficult schedule I do know. So most INS fans will just take a "wait and see" approach" and see how we do to open the season.

If our shooting doesn't improve though I'll predict it'll be another long season in Terre Haute

But I agree on the MVC being "down" again next season, probably not gonna be in the top 10 RPI-wise for a 2nd straight year. Just don't see a whole lot of good people coming back.

WSU will be down a bit. I'm not sold on the idea that the record will reflect it.

Assuming reasonable health, the Shocks should have a better nonconference record. The Valley record probably won't be as good.
