Within the past two weeks both KenPom and SI ranked all 351 D1 basketball teams.

They agreed with the posters of this forum for the most part except for the ranking of UE. Both sites picked UE 4th based on their data. Who's right? The season starts tomorrow. Guess we will find out soon enough. Here's the numbers:
KenPom (SI)
WSU 34 (26)
UNI 82 (110)
ISUr 95 (119)
UE 144 (150)
MSU 158 (184)
SIU 164 (191)
ISUb 190 (156)
LU 215 (192)
Bradley 221 (309)
Drake 236 (203)

SI sucks. No way Bradley is in the 300s this year. I mean, I know we struggled last year but c'mon, do some research.

Not sure what Sagarin's initial rankings are based on, but 22 is too high for WSU right now. Considerably.

I believe Sagarin uses a portion of last season to weight this season's numbers until all teams become "connected".

Yeah, I believe you are right. I definitely think WSU has the potential to end up a Top 25 caliber team. But I think it's going to take some time.
