The Shocks were never going to win that game, but did put up a good fight. The Shocks don't need a football team, they already got one to play basketball. They just drive for the basket, and if anybody gets in their way, they just run over them.

There were a lot of negative things that could be said about the Shockers performance today, and you missed on all of them.

Threes weren't falling for the Shockers, will be an interesting game against the Spartans.
I'm not sure what a charge is anymore and I'm not so sure many officials do either. Seen all types of charging calls in the Indy State game. They had Iowa State in their grip. Looked good.

Tip of the hat to Indiana St., they deserved to win that game and the refs were clearly giving Iowa State the advantage. I'm sick of this same thing happening over and over. Now Louisville didn't need biased refs to beat WSU today, and it wasn't way over weighted to UL, but in my opinion they were letting our bigs and guards going to the basket get fouled too often without a whistle, but not so the other way around. But again, that isn't why WSU lost. They didn't play smart, they forced way too many times on offense with a player trying to make an impossible drive, or long shot, and not moving the ball and looking for the open man. It was the worst I've seen them play in a long time while having all their players. Credit Louisville's length, height, athleticism, and tough defense. Meanwhile we just kept inviting them to take wide open threes.
One other thing I think seems apparent, they scouted and trained toward playing the Shockers, and essentially overlooked Old Dominion and it nearly cost them.
In my opinion as of right now the top 5 teams in the MVC are WSU, UNI, InSU, MSU, and a toss up between IlSU and LU.

I saw that also. Sometimes I believe the ref's give the power conference a little more leeway in the fouling. I was routing for both the Trees and Shocks today.

Completely disagree that WSU was never going to win that game. The game was in doubt up until 2 min left. Wsu was within 2 possessions and had the ball multiple times. Just couldn't get shots to fall when they needed.

The way the Shox were shooying free throws, not sure calling fouls would have helped them.
Not many teams out there more athletic than Louisville but the Shox didn't really look overmatched as much as they just were a little intimidated.
Not very impressed with Willis. You can see the potential but he really has taken/missed a lot of shots. Reaves looks good for a Frosh but not what I was expecting hearing the Shox faithful on this site.
Shockers and Panthers seem to be way ahead of everyone else right now.

And you weren't brave enough to name any of them.

With Lusk at the helm, MO State is not a top 5 team. Never will be.
