Someone even suggested Chris Jans as the next ISUr coach! Never thought I'd hear that!

You could, and currently are, doing worse.

Damn it Redbirds! Why do you have to be so damn obstinate? When everybody is pulling for you, even most Shocker fans, you give the game away. :o

Go Valley!

WSU fans were disappointed with how bad Tulsa was this year. The 30-point beatdown we gave them (using every player we had, including 4 in the walkon group for extended minutes) did nothing to help WSU in rankings, rpi, or anything because of how bad tulsa is this year.

InSU has the best win of the year by taking down a ranked team. Could not be more proud that it's a Big Priest team.

over on Warren Nolan we're back up to 10th, barely behind the MTN West Conference. With another big weekend looming ahead we could pass them and get into the top 10.

A much welcomed rebound from the dreadful 14 or 15 game losing streak we had as a conference over the TG holiday. Keep it up MVC!

As I woke up this morning, I read this great article on ESPN about the Scott twins...
http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basket ... r-bulldogs

It reminded me of how great sports can truly be. ISUb is experiencing jubilation this morning. Meanwhile, us ISUr fans are looking for answers.

Dan Muller's tenure has been riddled with recruitment of poor character players, lack of organizational control (suspending players ever?), terrible basketball IQ, and absolutely no toughness. It's mind-boggling considering he was the opposite of all of those traits in his playing career.

Not all former players make good coaches. Dan exemplifies that notion and then some.

We won't make a change because Larry Lyons is too afraid....but Dana Ford should absolutely top our list of a coach we should go after.

It's 8:30 am in Central Illinois but....

A few notes on the UNI win over South Dakota State:

UNI set a school and McLeod Center record and tied a conference record for made threes in a game with 20. SDSU played zone the entire game and UNI did a nice job of passing to find the open shot (21 assists on 26 made non-fast break shots).

UNI used their 5th different starting combination in the 8 games this year. We used only one line-up all season in each of the last two seasons. Part of this has been due to injury or illness (Lohaus/Koch), part of this is Jake still trying to find the right combinations.

Three freshman started in this game: true freshmen Juwan McCoud and Isaiah Brown and redshirt freshman Spencer Haldeman (along with Jeremy Morgan and Ted Friedman).

Koch and Carlson were essentially non-factors due to the zone and Hal 'Happy Whistle' Lusk.

Hunter Rhodes became the third Panther to score 20 points in a game this year, joining Morgan and Carlson.

Morgan was solid again with 17 points, 7 assists, 8 rebounds, 2 steals and a blocked shot with only 1 turnover and no fouls.

The win drops UNI out of the top 100 RPI for the first time this season and dropped our SOS to 38. Will fall again on Saturday with 200~ RPI North Dakota coming in.

Great win, but I'm really curious why they would play zone against you guys. For a team that shoots so many threes as UNI, it seems like a bad idea. I mean nearly ~70% of your FGA in this game were 3s. That's insane!. Live and die by the 3 though, its going to be a very up and down year for UNI if that continues.
