They're still going to be pretty bad.....but what difference does it make?

Yeah, if only WSU had losses to Wyoming and George Mason (at home).

The OU win just so you know, was at OU. And they were at full strength.

Keep grindin out that rent money Joey, it's noble work. :+1:

I'm terribly supportive of what UNI has done and continues to do. But you're delusional if you think you're getting an at large.

That OU win was neutral site and WSU fans have us believing it was a WSU home game based on the crowd.

UNI won by 18 compared to 3.
The game wasn't in Cedar Falls.
OU was a full strength for UNI

If WSU fans get to down play the 18 point win over OU, then anyone gets to down play a 3 point win over OU

When did UNI beat OU by 18? .. UNI was down by 18 at one point ... but did not win by 18 ... unless 73-67 in OT is an 18 point win.

Also it was a home game for OU for RPI and NCAA purposes due to the fact that it was like 20 min from their home campus. It was also part of their season ticket package as the entire lower bowl minus 2 sections were allocated to season ticket holders. Same reason that WSU vs OSU is a home game for WSU even though its not at Koch (though WSU is selling it separate and not part of the season ticket package, 15k sold out already though).

So the WSU/UNI best win is pretty much equal. The loss comparison .. not so much, that's what really killed UNI's at-large hopes.

Uh.... what? 18 point win? Last I checked it was an OT win after being down by 18.

The OU game will be counted as a road win for RPI purposes just like the game at Intrust on Saturday against Oklahoma State will count as a home game.

It's still arguing semantics though. Don't fall into the trap where UNI fan is notoriously known for hanging on to at large chances that in reality don't exist.

How many times can you be wrong? Let's count.

One

By the way, you guys were getting RUN out of the gym when OU went brain dead. Anyone outside of Cedar Falls could see the difference between the 2 teams.

Just going to give you half a wrong here. I didn't say UNI played OU in Iowa. I merely pointed out WSU won on the road vs a neutral court. Comprehension is something you're struggling with, mightily.

Um, no they weren't. Dante Buford was out for the UNI game. He's a starter.

We, and everyone else with a brain not only get to downplay it, we can ignore it because it didn't happen. UNI was lucky. They took advantage of a team that thought they had won. Don't get me wrong, UNI deserved to win. But don't make it something it wasn't. And it doesn't cancel out awful losses to GM and Wyoming.

No, what killed UNI's at large hopes is the fact their team isn't good enough for an at large bid.

I'm not going to go there. If they win the games they should have (GM, Wyoming) they are in the at large discussion. They are a decent team and could have played into an at large if their shooting held up.

At what point are Wyoming and GMU not games UNI "should have" won? UNI is 2-4 against the (admittedly still too early) RPI Top 200. 4-4 against D1. You just can't lose that many games in the non-conference in this league and still hope to get an at-large. Even if you have the good fortune of being one of the 9 teams that gets a T25 home and home as part of your conference schedule.
