Sorry to post this here, but knew it would be viewed a bit more.

Friday, Indiana State track and CC coach John McNichols, who is in his 34th year as the Sycamore head coach, suffered a major stroke while at the USATFCCCA convention in Orlando, he's currently in critical condition in a hospital down there.

It was made public this evening, here is all we know for now

Thanks for reading and for the prayers

I was fortunate enough to meet Coach McNichols a few years ago when I had an athlete being recruited by ISUb. He seems like a great, genuine guy. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family.

Sadly coach McNichols passed away this morning in Orlando, the Sycamores, MVC, and the entire Track and Field world in general, has lost a true ambassador for the sport, his loss will be felt for years to come. Coach was in his 34th year coaching the Sycamores.

Absolutely terrible news. Thanks for raising the awareness of this and if there's any friends, family, or acquaintances that read this board... You're absolutely in my prayers tonight.
