UNI is a Thursday night team.

Last years UNI team was 8-5 in the OOC with wins over #1 UNC and #5 Iowa State. It was recieving votes at one point. Then a month of injuries and illness hit. Then the team got healthy.

This is a Drake night exit team.

Talent level is the major issue. Other than Morgan what do they really have?

I am confused as to what on earth happened to Carlson. Last spring he looked like he was going to be unstoppable this season.

I disagree. Carlson and Koch are good players among others. UNI just isn't playing as a cohesive unit right now.

As a positive for UNI fans I was impressed with McCloud's performance last night. Watching him in person he seemed to have a similar swagger to Washpun... I hesitate to call it cocky... but it's right on the border (though i'm sure it was extra good for him given his early struggles).


I see where UNI fans felt he could be a good one down the road... nice player!

This year is going to suck...worse than we thought.

Next year will be pretty good.
18/19 will be damn good.

Carlson is dependent on his confidence level. He's always, going back to HS, struggled to have high confidence at all times. He's picked up 2 techs this year. He played out of his mind in both games. After the second one Jake sat him on the bench to tell him "That isn't good". Since then his confidence is gone and he isn't the same. Maybe he'll get it back....hopefully.

The talent is there, it's just really young and really inexperienced.

And teams figured out that they needed to force him right.

I think our streak of avoiding Thursday may officially be in jeopardy.
