Not so much. The Valley used to be the #1 conference in the country. If you all want to fight over being 12th or 14th or 16th if/when WSU departs, enjoy your boatride in the toilet.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You and Loyola are the talk of the tournament. Congrats!

I took so much crap for the statement I made here... and it's absolutely ringing true today.

Our conference is bigger than one team. SHOCK THE WORLD! FALL ON OUR FACES TO A 13 SEED!!! LMAO

I assume WSU had to leave all of their tourney shares with the MVC right? Creighton too for that matter?

That so many Shocker fans seized on the Loyola addition to the conference as their reason for wanting to get out.... and now Loyola moves on with an 11 while the Shockers choke on their 4 seed.....

That CAN'T be for real, can it?

We leave: We get a 4, Loyola gets an 11.

We stay: us or Loyola gets an 11

Tell me more how that's a bad move for anyone.

Maybe somebody can do the math on what the RPIs for the league would be if WSU stayed and had the same non-con, and if Loyola and WSU split their conference home and home series. It would look a little more like St. Mary's and Gonzaga in the West Coast, only with Indiana State's RPI around 175 being the worst in the league.

I'm not even so sure the MVC doesn't pass the AAC for 7th highest RPI conference in that case.

So it's not a sure thing that the top of the MVC gets an 11--- with two more Q1 games, the top of the MVC could be a 7 or higher. Gonzaga got a 6 winning a lower ranked conference. Nevada got a 7 at large. Rhode Island got a 7 and St. Bonnies got an 11 as an at large out of a down A10.

The MVC looks very different from the committee's perspective if it had kept the 2016-17 membership. And if ISU had beat Florida on the road last year, they would have danced.

Fans of a certain Lutheran college in Northwest Indiana surely aren't complaining about how everything worked out.
