some guys are trending up and others trending down. Don't sleep on Shaq Morris or Conner Frankamp getting some nods if they keep producing and finish the season strong. Both of these guys get a tremendous amount of respect from opposing coaches.

I'd pull Shamet of all defensive team. Jackson on the all newcomer team over Brown. Taylor probably makes it over Custer.

McIntosh's injury likely gives Hawkins an inside track at at least 2nd team.

Landry Shamet is playing his way to be the WSU representative on the 1st team. I'm curious who might be the last freshman to be a 1st teamer?

Edit: Just looked it up, Doug McDermott and Cleo Littleton (WSU) are the only freshmen to ever make 1st team.

With WSU's depth, I think it's becoming more and more likely that the Shocks don't get anyone on 1st team.

Especially if UNI finishes something like 10-8 or 11-9 you know Morgan is going to make it.

Lee is there for sure. Hawkins or McIntosh (if he returns) one will be there if ISU is 17-1. Johnson for MSU will certainly be in the mix. Uninformed voters looking at points will defer to Brown at Evansville.

Shoot, just look at the top 13 scorers in Valley play only.

Brown, Doyle, Ingram, Timmer, Johnson, Morgan, Scott, Miller, Hawkins, O'Brien, Taylor, Koch & Brown.

Those are the 13 top scorers in the league. You have a hard time convincing me that at least most of the 1st team isn't coming from that list, and PLee is 14th and he's the probable POY.

I think Lee will win POY.

I think Shamet will be 2nd team with FOY as a consolation prize.

I think, looking at the conference statistics, it's pretty much a no-brainer Shamet over Lee.

Can Frankamp play his way onto 2nd? He's been one of the biggest contributors since WSU lost to ISU. Him and Shamet have by far the best ORtg out of any players in the conference.

Conference Only ORtgs to this point:
Rank Player Team Ht Wt Yr ORtg (%Used)
1 Landry Shamet Wichita St. 6-4 188 Fr 136.1 (17.9)
2 Conner Frankamp Wichita St. 6-1 172 Jr 135.9 (15.4)
3 Markis McDuffie Wichita St. 6-8 212 So 124.4 (21.7)
4 Donte Ingram Loyola Chicago 6-6 215 Jr 123.4 (19.3)
5 Phil Fayne Illinois St. 6-9 200 So 119.9 (19.4)
6 Aundre Jackson Loyola Chicago 6-5 230 Jr 113.1 (25.6)
7 Ore Arogundade Drake 6-3 185 Jr 113.0 (19.8)
8 Reed Timmer Drake 6-1 185 Jr 112.7 (24.4)
9 Jordan Ashton Northern Iowa 6-4 192 Sr 112.1 (12.9)
10 Keyshawn Evans Illinois St. 6-0 180 So 112.1 (18.4)
