Still playing in St Louis? Shockers by 5.

Wichita is really good. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if they won all 3 in StL by double-digits.

With that out there, I think (and definitely hope) the Redbird gas tank is refueling somewhat. I remember all of the talk last year of Marty wearing out his top guys, and they still showed very well in StL.

My hope is that ISU can play 15-25 minutes of N'Diaye 2-3 zone defense on Friday. I also think playing as the 1-seed would help immensely having the 23ish hour break between Friday and Saturday.

Now that the regular season has played out what are the thoughts on who wins Arch Madness?

I initially said ISUr. But I'm going with WSU now. I know they don't have a good history in st Louis but after seeing them in person I just think they have too many weapons for anyone including ISUr.

No offense to ISUr, but I think anyone other than Wichita winning would be an upset and a bit shocking.

Totally agree with this. Wichita is a machine right now.

Somebody would have to go crazy from 3 or something to best them.

If anyone other then Wichita wins, it is an upset.

If history holds true, Shamet and Frankamp (the #1 and #2 3-point shooters in the league) will go a combined 2/15 from 3 and some teams bench player with a career 20% from 3 will go off for 5/7.

I don't know if that's enough to beat WSU this year.

My internal pessimist (realist?) is telling me the Birds won't win the MVC Tourney and will get big-leagued out of the NCAA tourney by they Illini. :Bam:
