If Sandy Hatfield Clubb is making the hire Thursday night at Arch Madness will continue to be Drake night. She is the real problem. She has literally made one good hire in her time there, and that hire fell into her lap.

Darner is an interesting name, but he's already at a comparable level (albeit a slight notch below), but he is at a school where it probably a LOT easier to win. For a guy who already has a National Championship under his belt and taken a program to the NCAA in his first DI year, a move to Drake puts his short-term upward mobility in jeopardy.

From what I have heard, he is.

I don't know if he's actually interested, but apparently Steve Forbes has reached out to people to inquire about the Drake job. It's a real long shot, but would love to see him at Drake.

I'm hoping we'll start hearing some names in the next week, as opposed to rumors.

If Drake can actually get Forbes it's a no brainer. I'm not sure if it's the best step for him to take personally, but we will see.

Drake would have to open their wallet in a big way to have a shot at Steve.

They were paying Giacoletti $450-500K, so that might be possible.

Steve Forbes sounds great, but his background is JUCO and he's done it at ETSU heavily with JUCOs and transfers. Does that translate for Drake at all?
